We are a relatively small swimming club originally based in the Liverpool Suburb of Woolton. Our home is the victorian baths at the heart of Woolton Village. The pool opened in 1892 and just three years later Woolton Swimming Club was founded. However since Liverpool Council closed the baths we are now based at Austin Rawlinson Leisure Centre on Conleach Road, Speke.

The club is run by a dedicated, very experienced and highly qualified group of volunteers. They give their time freely to keep the club running and teach both children and adults how to swim and then help them to progress to club level swimming and in some cases beyond.

We are very good at what we do due to the amount of experience built into the club. We hold the Sport England Club mark accreditation for the way the club is run and supported and we have recently had our ASA Swim 21 accreditation renewed for the next 4 years, which is a mark of the qulaity of teaching and organisation that goes into the club.

We normally hold sessions for adult beginners and improvers on Monday evening and the Junior sessions run on Wednesday and Friday evenings and also Sunday afternoons, with all sessions and lessons very well attended. However due to the limited amount of pool time we currently have we can only offer two sessions for children on Wednesday & Friday. The juniors start at age 5 with teachers in the water getting them started and they then progress through the teaching sessions now based around the ASA National Plan. We also have occassional Water Polo sessions for the older Juniors and have recently started the National Lifesaving Society's "Rookie Lifeguard" scheme.

I hope this has given you an insight into our club and please if you are interested please get in touch by e-mail or just come along to a session, you can always just watch before you or your children give it a go.
